About the Artist

Robin Smith (Robert M., Jr.) is a native of Louisville, Kentucky. He spent his teenage years in Charleston, South Carolina and owns a photographic studio, PhotoVision, in Columbia, South Carolina. His career spans over thirty years as a commercial photographer, specializing in 4 x 5 format black and white fine art photography and watercolor paintings. A new dimension of his talents is digital photographic art. He has a deep appreciation of the world around him which shows in his photography and paintings. He has exhibited at the Columbia Museum of Art and other shows in the community. You see his photography in several books, most noted are: Camden, Homes and Heritage, Robert Mills, Architect, G. W. Vanderbilt's Biltmore Estate, and In This Place, an award winning coffeetable book illustrating Kanuga Conference Center. His photography is featured in numerous other books, brochures, annual reports, and art galleries.
